With over 30 years in the fields of fabricating and building construction, Simon Joiner uses his knowledge and experience to design and construct his Tiny Homes.
Simon’s experience gives him the skill, patience, perseverance and resilience required to conquer the next big 'thing', “The Tiny Homes Movement”. After obtaining his trade certificate, Simon began a wrought iron business, prompting him to learn everything involved in managing a workshop, from estimating to administration and financial bookkeeping. This played a large part in giving Simon the confidence he needed to become a leader.
Simon later spent several years in Melbourne running a tank manufacturing company, where he taught himself several other skills, from drafting packages to the set-up of spread sheets, together with many of the IT skills that we take for granted today. Simon then worked for TR Homes over a 12 year period and, through his commitment to hard work, was promoted from Estimator to General Manager under the ABN Group banner.
Simon has worked for large companies, producing both modular and site-built homes throughout Western Australia. He has always loved working, whether in an office environment, on- site or at home in his own time. From the construction of his own home to car modifications, Simon has an ongoing can-do attitude.
It is a combination of all of his experience that has given Simon the know-how when performing the tasks involved in setting up his business, from website design to receiving his Dealers License for the operation of Tiny Homes Perth.
